Last night was truly incredible, my first Sunday Reading Book Club event of 2026, and one I’ll never forget.
When I think back to where this all started, deciding to post book reviews online, and look at the community of readers we’ve built together, I’m genuinely overwhelmed with gratitude. You all make this so worthwhile.
It was such an honor to sit down with authors Tracy Sierra (Warning Signs) and Karen Winn (The Society) for a conversation that felt important: why supporting authors and independent bookshops matters, how reading builds empathy and connection, and the power of putting down your phone and losing yourself in a good story.
And before we even got to the books, watching everyone light up over the custom embroidered Sunday Reading totes by Stitched Needham was a moment. The margarita bar courtesy of Bar Taco didn’t hurt either!
Huge thank you to the Derby Street Shops team for being such wonderful partners and helping bring this night to life. Thank you Bar Taco for being the perfect venue host.
And to everyone who came out, thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Seriously!! It was freaking snowing out there and you all still made it out for a fun night. Here’s to many more nights just like this one
