This was…. not for me (NFM). If you’re not familiar with my new book rating system, anything under 3 stars is given this rating. This book has been widely popular in the fantasy space, and I thought after I took nearly a three month hiatus from fantasy books to dive into other genres, that this would be a “stay up all night, page-turning, can’t sleep until I know the ending” novel… and at times, because my personal golden rule is that I finish every book I start…. it felt somewhat torturous making myself pick this one up. And the worst part is… so many people LOVE IT. (GoodReads: 4.02). So this is a NFM, but maybe it’s for you.
